Malaysia vs. Singapore
MALAYSIA-TRULY-ASIA
YOU LIKE SINGAPORE?
I found it very easy to connect with the locals. It helps a lot to discover a city like that alone and some Mandarin breaks the ice with the people right away (there is no ice anyway, not only because of the tropical temperatures..). I soon realized that my mentioning of my workplace sparked something in them and let them talk quite freely. Apparently, most Malaysians do have their opinion about Singaporeans and don’t hide that there is indeed some love/hate relationship (with a slight emphasis on the latter). It boils down to an almost typical animosity between the two states whose history is so strongly intertwined. I have been to a local museum which portrayed Malaysia’s long way into independence. Singapore’s secession from the newly founded Malaysia in 1965 was justified by the ‘avoidance of conflict due to deep-seated political differences and to safeguard peace’.
Was there almost a war looming then between the two states?!
MALAYSIANS ABOUT SNOTTY SINGAPOREANS
So what do Malaysians think about Singaporeans? I had a long talk to one intelligent and witty old Lady in a craft shop at famous Jonkor street. I will only reproduce what she said, which does not necessarily reflect my own opinion..I just like to explore this little animosity in more detail. There may be a lot of biased generalization but this is exactly what I heard on so many occasions that I can almost take it as public opinion. Well, I myself know examples to prove exceptions to the rules ;-) Don’t take it too serious. However, I would be happy to get comments..
Due to the mere economic facts (Singapore’s GDP per capita is about 3 times as high as Malaysia’s) the city outperforms MY by almost any measure. And according to the Lady many Singaporeans apparently make no attempt to hide their superior position by looking down on other, poorer nations in Asia..and Malaysia is of course on of them. A stuck-up, snooty-nosed attitude is what most Malaysians mention when it comes to the way Singaporeans usually talk to them.
Well, I myself cannot confirm this, which of course may be due to my nature as an Ang Mo (Caucasian white), which (to be very honest) puts me on the highest step of the ladder in this country, whatever I do and say. There is simply no way for me to experience the mentioned impressions first-hand.
THERE MUST BE ORDER IN SINGAPORE
On the other hand, Singaporeans are perceived as very efficient in most things they do and are often taken as good examples to show how things should be run. They are organized, follow rules to an extent that even let my German eyebrows rise (you know..our national saying is ‘Ordnung muss sein’ = ‘Order must be’). Since they have success, they look for ways to show off with what they have. That starts with small things..like the fact that a Singaporean usually has to be superbly dressed for the holy act of shopping (which is not the case in Malaysia). It goes further in the way that many Singaporeans buy uselessly big luxury cars, which can only function as status symbols in this small, speed-limited city. It is almost tragic that the ever present buzy-bees spend all this huge amount of time in office just to being able to hand over their hard-earned money and receive goods which further support representation in public.
THE 5 Cs
Which brings me to the well-known concept of the 5 C’s, which actually have been taught to me by Singaporeans only very recently…five things that represent the very desirable lifestyle in this tropical city:
Cash
Condominium
Credit Card
Country Club
Car
(with exchangeable order)
Material wealth, self-sacrifice for the job, almost no time for leisure…all apparently chapters in the same book. Is there a way out? Join a French company to enjoy ‘Savoir Vivre’? Leave Singapore for Australia? Or is it just a needed change of the very own state of mind to decouple yourself from public opinion? Is this even what the Singaporeans want?
What I have to add as a last point here is that many Singaporeans seem to understand that very well and can even point to the above facts. They often crave for a change in corporate life.. However, public expectation seems to put many in one big peer pressure boat. I am not even sure if a change is really desirable here..is that one facet of culture I failed to notice or interpret?
MALAYSIAN ABOUT MALAYSIAN
Malaysian Shop Owner: ‘So where are you from?’
Me: ‘I’m from Germany!’
Malaysian Shop Owner: ‘So you must be Hitler grand grand grand son, haha!’
Me: ‘…Ha..Ha…...’
(quoted from the old lady)
Malaysians might live a slower life, are according to her self-proclaimed less efficient but they see themselves as more humble and friendly than their Singaporean neighbors (supported by a friends testimony that she rather flies with Malaysian than Singapore Airlines). They admit with a bright smile to be 'extremely' lazy, as if this was a pillar in their life that can never be moved and has therefore to be taken into account when we talk about future development. Jealousy is there of Singapore's success and Malaysia would love to surpass their little neighbor better yesterday than tomorrow. But on the other hand they see the Singaporean orderly lifestyle and know to somehow that they can only catch up to them if they virtually become them.
I really try not to bash on anyone here, and this might have been a harsh post that polarizes. Having the nice friends/colleagues and acquaintances in mind that I know here I can hardly imagine that the above mentioned allegations are more rule than exception. Nevertheless, I felt that I had to write about the uniformity of Malaysian opinion about Singapore and the honest self-reflection I got from the old Lady (however little objective it might be).
I enjoy this country and people very much, that's why I extended my stay. However, I have the subtle impression that because of my nature as a Caucasian there will always be facets of culture that I simply cannot experience myself.
Do I only see the bright side of Singapore?
Maik

As a singaporean.. yes i would concur that Kuala Lumpur KLCC is a copycat to Singapore's Suntec.
Singapore has CPF-Central Provident Fund. Malaysians have EPF-Employee Provident Fund.
Just copycats. What i love about Malaysia? Chewing gum i can't get in Singapore.
I am glad you went to Jonker street. And i am sure you would have seen the Peranakan house. It has that old rustic charm..

I am totally appalled by your review about Singapore and Malaysia. I find your article is rather bluntantly childish and lack of credibility. Why dont you take your biasness and channel to more something beneficial to both nations. It is hard to enjoy mango while you have 'sour grape' in your mouth.

thanks for your comment anyway. To say that here from my point of view: I am portraying the opinions that have been thrown my way, knowing that they are of course biased. But that's what I told in the text, too. I have no prejudice against either Singaporeans or Malaysians, rest assured there..

hi, I just found your blog. I am a Singaporean dual citizen. I reside in the states but I always visit back to SG (my father was an American expat). I find your reports very interesting. yes, in singapore we are busy-bees but and sometimes we are not humble. But Malaysians always perceive us as being selfish which is not true. For example, when the tsunami hit Singapore was the first/one of the first countries to supply aid. Singaporean emergency aid offices were getting packed with people trying to help with supplies that some had to be turned back. btw it is not really Malaysians as a whole that are perceived and admittedly lazy but Malaysian Malays. This is partly due to the gov's bumiputra policy which has been said to discriminate against Chinese and Indians and give major benefits to Malays-better treatment basically. I don't get the point about the airline though since we have our famous "Singapore Girl" and are known as the world's best airline. OT but my national airline SIA beats MAS hands down. They are more profitable and they put more attention to detail than any other. International chefs, 100 movies, suites on the A380, heart-warming staff, etc. lol.
Anyway, Malaysia also copies a lot of things from us. As another commenter said, they have copied our CPF. They make malls modeled after ours and in KL they're newer housing estates look just like ours. Malaysia just seems to rest on their laurels and then copy something of ours. So many things, big and little, I just couldn't go into know.
About the whole separation thing-long story. The gov in Malaysia didn't like us being part of them any longer because:
1. Singapore had growing power and was getting stronger than KL
2. They didn't like that in Singapore nearly everyone voted for a gov. that wasn't run by Malays, even the malays themself voted for the non predominantly malay party
3. singapore didn't like Malaysia's ruling party, the UMNO-they were and still are biased to Malays-they stand for United Malays National Organization. They seem to not care about malaysian, but only care if you are malay and/or muslim
4. Indonesia was against the Malaysian federation and started bombing Singapore. the UMNO did not side with Indonesia but also tried falsely accusing Singapore of treating malays badly. Racial riots in Singapore occured which was a major part of Singapore's history. we now have racial harmony day to remember that we must be an integrated society
5. Singapore was lied to by Malaysia and still was treated like a foreign country during the federation. Taxes on trade were imposed which were not right as were part of the same country, they did not apply to other Malaysian states
What I love about singapore is that our culture is so unique. We have had so much natural fusion that it is amazing, and we also live harmoniously. We are modern, efficient, clean and green. Like a futuristic city in a rain forest. we have one of the highest standard of living and life expectancy. We have the world's busiest port and best airport and airline (proven as we have the most awards, over 1500 awards SIA has) We have local hawker centres and fine dining restaurants. Of course, we do have problems. Sometimes we could be less materialistic, and sometimes less kiasu. But all in all, you have an interesting point of view being ang moh.
Cheers

Hi Maik, its was very interesting indeed to read about a Caucasian's point of view towards Malaysia and Singapore. thanks and i enjoyed that.
being a malaysian working in Singapore, I must say i admire the SG government's ability to provide such fine city for its residence. one thing about singapore i do not enjoy, is when you really need some place to retreat to, there is none. i mean somewhere rural, some where out skirt.
on the various comments for this post, sometimes, a countries friendliness and selfness does not necessarily represent the individuals. same to other countries.
to me, what Maiks got to say about Malaysians and Singaporeans, (some parts) are true down to the streets of both countries, Singapore and Malaysia. Individual representation is always the best brand to a country, not the government, the big corporations, nor the massive shopping malls.
As far as i am concern, I love both the countries, cause to me, we all all citizens of mother earth. whats there to boast about?

@Lee
Dear Lee,
Thank you for your very interesting and long comment. After reading it I do agree that the perceived opinion about Malaysians portrayed refers only to Malaysian Malays and not other culture groups. This is something always to mention.
It's also interesting to see in many comments that 'copying' from each other seems to be a fact many ppl see. However, according to Chinese belief, copying someone is the highest praise...and this is surely not something negative itself.
Regarding SIA: What the Lady told me here that that the Service at SIA apparently also can differ depending on your own race. Being Malay gave her perceived worse service at an SIA plane compared to other 'Chinese' passengers. Exception to the rule? Most likely, and also colored by the personal impression of the Lady. Just to clarify your understanding.

1. Singapore was never bombed, Malaysian Armed Forces were deployed in Singapore during the confrontation. It was Malaysia that was breached by Indonesian forces. Singapore had no Army nor Militia.
2. Singaporean are pacified by their own government. Not to mention Singaporean Malays and Indians. We might have out frequent bickering, but things always worked out. And yes Malaysia also has a Integrated Society. Public education, Health Care, and among other things.
2. The PPP decided to breach the agreement that UMNO led alliance would run for KL while PPP would run for Singaporean constituency.
3. During the break-up there was no second rate treatment towards Singapore, Singapore just thought they were special enough to warrant exclusive rights in the federation. Accounting rights, Sarawak and Sabah had more right to be special, which they are. Singapore wanted to be in the own tax system, own immigration system, own everything why be in the federation yet not contribute to its development. Whats up with that? Every other Malaysian state contributed revenues to the federal government.
5 Demographically Malaysia has a more diverse culture, wit a equally balanced Non-Malays and Malays.
6. What are the facts? I have not seen any clear cut evidence that Malaysian Malays are the only ones that see Singapore too what it is, a Stuck-up little country thats trying to act tough. Ungrateful bunch of people is what they are.
7. So right KLCC is direct copy of Singapore's suntec? come on thats arrogance talking right there. Oh and EPF too? wow seems like Singapore is making head way as the leading country in pretty much everything except humility.
8. Chewing not allowed.. thats jus sad.
9. Facts are Malays in Singapore have not been given the right chance to prosper. They talk all about Chinese and Indians in Malaysia getting the black treatment, Yet Chinese and Indian Malaysian are among the most successful, tho they are a lot of Malays that are successful as well. Just goes to show that Treatment is equally given to all. Not getting what you want? dont go around messing with other peoples lives.
10. One direct fact, Malays were barred from the Military due to suspicion of allegiance in Singapore during the heydays of the "break-up" Thats a fact right there. Malaysian government has always given open military enlistment and officer training to all races. Yet its the Chinese and Indians who aren't calling up the duty. Its left to the Malays to fill those positions up. If you don't want it, don't criticize others for taking it.

Hi Maik
Your blog was an interesting read. I totally enjoyed it. Being a Malaysian but have been away from that country over 10 years now and is living in the west, reading your blog brings back good memories!!
And all these Malaysia Copy Singapore thing, I can only think it's funny. It's forever "i copy you, you copy me". And the part of which someone said you are hitler's grand grand grand son.. I just had to laugh. Apologies for that though...
I think we should all take things more light heartedly, don't you think? ;)

Hi Maik,
I read your blog with interest, as it touched upon a very sensitive, yet close to the heart issue. I have to agree with some points that you pointed out there, but like you said, you are mainly just stating from a point of view of a foreigner. Someone who will NEVER get to experience what a local will have to go through in their lifetime. So, let me just give you my two-cents worth of experience and opinions.
I think its about time a MALAY SINGAPOREAN speak about this issue. Frankly speaking, I am happy with how clean, organized and orderly my country is. And how the exchange rate is way much higher than our neighbour's is also a plus point of being a Singaporean. However, being malay, i have a lot of relatives and friends in malaysia. I have seen how in malaysia, my malay malaysian counterparts have it easy when it comes to lifestyle, career choices and success in life. In Singapore, I have seen a lot of silent 'discrimination' against my own race (or the 'minority' as they call it). Of course it is not as blatant as in Malaysia against the Chinese and indians but it is screaming at me at the workplace, in the media, simply everywhere and the subtlety of it makes it all the more frustrating. It can be felt but can't be said cause the majority (Chinese) could never understand it. If it is pointed out, we would be accused of creating racial tension or worse, we would have to justify what we say. But how do we justify something so subtle yet obvious to the minority but to the majority, that is not important? That is why no matter how clean, uncorruptable or orderly singapore is, it has not been able to truly gives us the malay singaporean the equality that the singapore pledge, pledges.
Furthermore, we malays have to work extra extra hard to prove ourselves, unlike the majority who have it easier. Yes, of course they have to work hard too, but if you were to put two individuals (one malay and one chinese) who are equally hardworking and talented, in front of a prospective employer (especially chinese employer), i am sure the chinese would be employed. I have seen this happening so its something that is real.
I also have to admit, singaporeans are a stuck up bunch, although I am a singaporean myself. I am actually not too proud to see other singaporeans overseas cause I am ashamed of their kiasu-ness and their show-off attitude. I always remind myself to be humble and to blend in with the crowd, in terms of my interaction with them. Cause when we are in another place, its always best to look and observe rather than show off what one has. So instead of taking what the old lady said abt singaporeans in a defensive mode, I would encourage all Singaporeans to reflect on themselves and see how they can improve their image overseas.
And oh yeah, talking abt the Singapore Girl..well oh well..they would definitely serve an ang-moh like a king while the asians just watch. So i dun blame the malaysian who is not interested to go on SQ. And of course Maik, dun worry about this issue, cause this is something that you would never experience because you are an ang-moh.
*Regardless of race, language and religion....indeed!*

Malaysian malay, at 6:01 PM
singapore vs malaysia.. whats the main difference between the two. as a malay in sg u feel discriminated at most levels.. military, schools, work etc etc.. but i respect the Malays in Singapore alot cause they work hard for their success and if they do make it... they deserve it. This does not apply to all singaporean chinese but majority of you boast about your material possessions, show your arrogance towards others... this maybe stereotyping but you chinese sg ppl know u stereotype more then i do. lol.. anyways generally the people of singapore are nice and friendly, i have loads of sg friends and the city is a great place to be in. As a Malaysian Chinese, i am frustrated, angry, and simply just FED UP with the current ruling goverment cause of bias treatment of the Malays.
1. if you are a bumiputra (Malay) you can purchase a home with a discount 7 - 10% depending on the developer.
2. if you are a bumiputra, you are entitled to buy Amanah Saham shares that gives the best interests rates.. as high as 9 - 11%
3. if you are a Bumi you dont have to worry about lower exam scores as a place uni is almost guaranteed. A chinese on the other has to go above and beyond to score extraordinary results to enter a local uni.. and that not even guaranteed and most bright talents are usually rejected. hence malaysia is losing its best minds. thanks to the Quota System.
4. Being a bumiputra rocks as you its easier to do business as goverment contracts will be handed out to you and you can sub contract them to other companies. Lucrative business like Car Importing are exclusive to the Bumi's (NAZA & MOFAZ)..
5. The entire goverment workforce consists of 80% of bumi's (The goverment will blame the chinese and indians for not wanting those jobs but in reality the administrators are tearing up CV's that are non-malays, and if you accuse them of this .. they will say "wheres your proof?"
i can list another 20 things but it will be so boring..
and when the malay says the chinese in malaysia are suspicious and not loyal.. and i can only say one thing.. can you blame them for being disloyal with your one sided policies that makes the malays even LAZIER!!!
At least singapore has a fair system which rewards deserving individuals who excel at what they do and not based on the colour of your skin. There may be discrimination at certain levels but that is up to the individual.. unlike Malaysia.. *it's in the law to discriminate the non-malays" .. ie: quota system, home discounts bla bla..
With all these factors in place, made life harder for the non-malays, and when the goverment says that the chinese are rich and control the economy and do not share wealth can you blame them again as they worked twice as hard for their success.. without gov help. i love malaysia but i feel malaysia doesnt love me.
-anonymous (cause if the gov reads this comment, i maybe perceived for cause stirring racial tensions as i am just only expressing my opinion)

Hi Maik,
Thanks for the sharing, very interesting, and those comments even more interesting.
I'm Malaysian who lived in Singapore before. I love Singapore because of its security and clean environment, as a person who really care about environment, i think Sg done a good job ( i hate chewing gum, cigarette and air pollution cause by vehicle).I love Malaysia too because my home is here, i grow up here.
Generally i agree with all the comments...sometime things are really negative that people can't think positively, maybe this is a good place for people to express and release? :D

what ever you wanna say bout us...we dont really care...we love to live in harmony and peacefully along with our friends...if for you is not enough...and so ungrateful with wut you got around here in Malaysia...feel free to migrate to SG or to the states..as most of the others did ;)

Loved the blog...as a Malaysian Malay guy currently living in Canada, I have to say ... GROW UP Malaysia, Singapore, Malaysian & Singaporean. Just end this bitter rival. I think they're just jealous of each other's success.
As for the race issue...just get rid of it. I personally think all Malaysian/Singaporean should be treater as equal. No race is better or more superior than the other.

Actually the malays are very kind people who gave up their right for the sake of others.....when singapore being kicked out from the federation; no malay general initiated the cou'd against the government..in fact they should at the first place because singapore shall not be the entity of the chinese immigrant....the chinese and tamils had been given the citizenship by UMNO and Tunku after the independence in 1957 onwards that had changed the demographic in both peninsular and singapore....who said the chinese are being discriminated in Malaysia...in actual fact the malays are being widely marginalzied in singapore..there are more freedom for chinese/tamil in malaysia rather than in Thailand, Myanmar, Philiphine, Indonesia...
By
Anonymous, at 2:13 PM
Personally, I would prefer the malaysian chinese to be stripped off their citenzenship....at the first place they are not belong to the malay region either in singapore, malaysia, indonesia, Philiphine etc...i would support former indonesian president habibie who said singapore is the red dot of south east asia....malaysia actually need a general/junta like in Burma who could initiate the act against the chinese....
By
Anonymous, at 2:23 PM
The chinese are very powerful in malaysia..they mingle around very well with the establishment and the royalist....they can buy and corrupt the politician and royalist..they can buy the police force and the enforcement officer....in actual fact; the chinese are the king in malaysia...they control 80% of the economy, they have the ministers in the goverment; they being given the title by the malay kings/sultans...they have freedom to establish their own school & university...99% malaysian chinese attended chinese school...national school are being deserted by chinese......they glorified the mandarin language and chinese character at every corners....
those who are being marginalized in malaysia are the ordinary malays consist of malays in peninsular..as well as the natives of sabah and sarawak....in fact singapore island is a gift from the corrupted malay leader and sultans to the chinese.....
By
Anonymous, at 2:43 PM
The chinese in malaysia and singapore are greedy people....they are the parasite and dirty....they will try their best to crush the identity of the native people...stealing from them...and kill them slowly
they fit the character of the jewish people as outlined by A. Hitler in Mein Kamp......
By
Anonymous, at 2:54 PM
The chinese have a dirty mind aganst the malay...in singapore malays are being equally treated as an "immigrant" similar with the chinese and tamils...Lee Kuan Yew and the gang wrote a false version of history to justify that nobody shall claim that they are the abrogines of singapore......chinese in singapore and malaysia are the same....chinese in malaysia regardless of their political platform by the name of MCA, Gerakan, DAP etc...all of them are sharing the same agenda.....to crush the malay race....

It's poor that a high standard country with a high standard people like singaporean have that attitude..It's like back when america's Apartheid ,or Hitler's Jew-hate-thingy.. well, now, singapore repeat the history slowly and still unknown by the whole world.Maybe they have been brainwashed or i dnt really know. From what i know,in singapore,(mostly chinese) look down to you,if you're not white, not chinese, not 'them'! trust me,i've been there. The rage, the hate, the tense..That will be the last time i step my foot over there.I've been to other Asian country, which btw, much more friendlier and color blind or race blind. But singapore? sigh. What a waste.

Honestly, I would think that it takes someone who's really arrogant to proclaim about their humility. A person who's truly humble will never boast so. Hence "would you find any other races in this world that would be so tolerate and care to share with others like the malaysian malays" from the earlier comment would be defunct. If you ask me, that's in itself is arrogance.
Perhaps we Singaporeans are stuck up. But hey, we're not the one bashing our neighbouring country on a daily basis. I've lived in Malaysia for almost two years, and believe me, with Singapore bashing jokes made a normality, or bashing of any country by that matter, it's kind of hard to treat our neighbouring country seriously. You don't even see shit like this from any country for that matter.
Honestly, I do not know if this racial BS is concocted up as a distraction. Perhaps it's easier to look across the causeway than to face the troubles in your own land.
And what's wrong with Singaporeans being Kiasu anyway? To take it too far to an unhealthy level is wrong of course. But Kiasu could be redefined as a mixture competitiveness and perfectionism. And really, there's nothing wrong with that. Rather, I'd treat it as a compliment that we do our job properly. I'd rather be Kiasu than be complacent and lazy if you ask me.

I'm a Sinagporean , so my reasons may be biased.
-Singapore has better education than Malaysia
-Different Races are treated EQUALLY.From what happened after Singapore 'merged' with Malaysia, well,I still do think the Malaysian Government is very BIASED towards Muslims. I dont know what it is like in Malaysia now. So ...
-Singaporeans are richer o.o
-If anyone knows what's PMR .
Its a Exam when they take at the age of 15 to go to their next year of education.I was shocked by their exam format. 40 MCQ qns , compared to Singapore's , it is so way too easy.Singapore Education requires a lot word by world memorising to score an A1/2.
-Hygiene and cleanliness problems in Malaysia.
And you've only just visited a country side or something?
You havent seen the DARK side of Malaysia. -.-"!
I doubt only Singaporeans are Kiasu, people from other country can be too. Just that they don't show to o.o!
Kiasu is part of Human Nature :)

What's the point with all these bitchin' about each other's countries. I'm a Singaporean who is working for a malaysian boss who married a Singaporean wife, and all of us worked for clients in the major states of Malaysia as well as Singapore. We all have our similarities and differences, but at the end of the day, we are the ones who are aware of our own problems best, and it's really up to ourselves to solve the problems, and not waste time spilting spiteful comments all over such articles. As a Singaporean, I look with envy at the vast natural resources that Malaysia has, the beautiful and tranquil nature that its people have access to freely, and the great food, among many other things. As a Singaporean, I understand that my country has much problems to solve in order to make ourselves truly a great home for our future generations to live in. In exchange for a better economy, the income gap between our poor and the rich are widening everyday, and yes, we do have poor people in Singapore, just that it is all hidden in the misleading GDP statistics. We don't have much of a welfare system here in Singapore, being a meritocratic nation, and that's the price we have to pay for becoming where we are today in this short span of 43 years in nation-building. We have many things that we have yet to learn, and I'm sure Malaysia does have their own huge set of problems to deal with as well. I can only hope that the people from both countries can wake up soon and see the greater world that's happening around us,and hopefully start to learn from and understand each other better. Especially when they are the people who are reading a blog about Singapore & Malaysia that's written by guy from Germany! Where's the self-respect?

efficiency - dont let the image overule the real efficiency. ive seen & experienced both and i think at many times both countries are equal.
at times i get very efficient singaporeans, at times, not. the same goes with the malaysians. this applies to even simple things like replying emails or returning phone calls.
btw, we shouldnt compare malaysia to singapore or singapore to malaysia. as 1st world country, singapore should be compared to 1st world cities (if not countries) like tokyo (japan), seoul (korea), ny (usa), london (uk) or even for that matter shanghai (china).
for malaysia, we should benchmark ourselves to countries with similar demographics (minus the race) eg taiwan, korea.

on some matters from your commentors on who copy who... oh well, we all were ruled by the british once. on malaysia malls - i think if u visit them now, there's no comparison at all (malaysia malls are way superior in size - it feels great to shop). in fact, if there is a copycat - its both... both copy from other nations. but who says that is wrong?
